NICKI MINAJ FOR ROBERTO CAVALLI SPRING/SUMMER 2015 CAMPAIGN

Winter is almost here but Nicki Minaj heats things up with a new advertising campaign for Roberto Cavalli’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection. With more than a few chart topping singles, an epic collaboration with Beyonceand the release of her new album, The Pinkprint, the Young Money rapper has had a rather successful year. Taken by Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini, the photos feature Minaj in the warm weather-ready line of bold prints, textures and feminine silhouettes, which works perfectly with the Harajuku Barbie’s image. Cavalli said he chose Nicki because she “embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman” and wanted someone “who is aware of her body, who is not afraid to show her curves”. Pretty good choice, if you ask us.

Nike has teamed up with Brazilian designer Pedro Lourenço to present a new women’s training collection inspired by the emerging desire for luxury in sport performance gear. Designed to transition from workouts to everyday wear, the range represents a play on proportions and layering and includes three looks and two footwear options designed to be worn together. Throughout the collection Lourenço employed materials that perform, yet also are soft and feminine. 

Liberty x Nike 2014 Holiday Collection

The Liberty x Nike 2014 Holiday Collection marks its 10th collaboration. To celebrate, the range features contemporary and heritage models in a new custom print, alongside a capsule apparel collection. Nike has updated an archived Liberty design with a polka-dot pattern laid over a geometric floral art fabric. The print comes in two low-key colorways of Belmont Ivy Burgundy and Belmont Ivy Black. To match the aesthetics of the color schemes, the warm burgundy range is available for the Blazer Mid, Air Max 1, Internationalist and Air Force 1 Mid, and the cooler tones of the black range is available in the Air Max 1 Mid, Internationalist Mid and Lunar Force 1 Sky Hi. In addition, the apparel also complements the same print and colorways while polka dots dominate the garments and the Belmont Ivy print appears finely on trims and lining. The Nike x Liberty 2014 Holiday collection launches exclusively at Liberty London on November 1 and will be available at select Nike Sportswear retailers as well as online via Nike on November 28.
